Unlike traditional social media, whose goal is to gather data about you for advertisers and then make you addicted to their apps, our goal is to help you fulfil your purposes. We collect some passive data to improve our search results, but almost everything we provide to you is based upon what you explicitly tell us about yourself. This is what we call “the utility model”, which puts you in control. We don’t collect excessive amounts of data about you or share any of it with third-parties without your express permission (and its not buried in the Ts & Cs).
Tuvens is not only non-invasive, its non-intrusive. When you browse Tuvens to explore your social world, whether that is through Salsa in Berlin, or Rock Climbing in Queensland, you are directly engaged with your interests, unfiltered by manipulative algorithms or hidden agendas. The interests of Tuvens should be completely aligned with yours and the interests of your community.
This is not corporate-marketing speak. We’re not here to hook you on the next behavioural addiction only to jack up the price. And we aim to prove it, to earn your trust.
